Shots from our Fairy Forest Adventure!

Fairy Godmother and a tree-hugging Fairy Fan enjoyed our spring Fairy Forest Adventure last weekend in Lettuce Lake Park. We had 12 fairy girls and 5 parents total.

A lovely gathering of fairies, alongside Mother Nature and the Fairy Godmother, walked our Fairy Forest Adventure last Saturday. We had a great time learning about all of the magical things to be found in nature.

The fairy girls enjoyed a nature walk, learning about the various whimsical things hidden in nature, and gathering materials to build fairy houses to leave behind. All attendees received dessert and a free gift from Fairy Line Naturals to take home.

Fairy spotted at Fairbridge Folk Fesival

"Kids loved the fairy with lights," wrote Australia's ABC South West WA about the Fairbridge Folk Festival. Fairbridge is "an annual family-friendly celebration of folk, roots, blues, acoustic, celtic, a capella and world music in a traffic-free, self-contained bushland site in Western Australia," says the festival's website. "The grounds of Fairbridge come alive over the weekend with an eclectic collection of brilliant musicians, dance, storytelling, street theatre, workshops and children’s activities. Enjoy delicious food from one of the many vendors and shop for unique art pieces."

Fairy-themed doll auction earns money for theater

Rockford resident Peg Sowle, an oil-painting artist, stepped out of her comfort zone to spend 36-hours decorating a blank-faced cloth doll, using acrylic gems and glitter glue, to transform it into a fairy.

The doll will stand among forty similarly decorated fairies donated to The Rockford Dance Company, for its second annual art-doll fundraiser. Last year the group collected $3500 via silent auction. Each doll typically brings in between fifty to a few hundred dollars. Sowle's sister has already placed $200 dibs on the doll, which Sowle calls Jewell.

The dolls will display at the group's rendition of of Shakespeare's classic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which features a cast of fifteen dancing fairies.

"I think all fairies have wings, and they cast spells," Sowle said of her decision to give Jewell wings and a wand. "[I enjoyed it so much] I almost bought a sewing machine to make her a dress."

Fairies painting trees?

The Rainbow Eucalyptus is the most colorful tree on earth.

"The unusual phenomenon [of the Rainbow Eucalyptus] is caused by patches of bark shedding at different times. The different colors are therefore indicators of the age of the bark," Environmental Graffiti reports of the world's most colorful tree, "Freshly shed outer bark will reveal the bright green inner bark. This darkens over time and changes from blue to purple and then reaches orange and maroon tones.

Their explanation is certainly convincing, but the bright colors and sweeping strokes quickly lead one to suspect the work of a fairy's paintbrush!

Learn about fairies at Fort Wayne Botanical Conservatory!

From now until June 27, Fort Wayne Botanical Conservatory will celebrate the winged wonders of the butterfly world — and enter the mysterious realm of fairies, too! The butterflies are confined to the chrysalis hatching lab and the display tent, but fairies travel beyond the limits of the imagination!

Inside the tent, you can watch a variety of butterflies feeding among the impatiens, floating lazily on the air, and basking in the sun.

Outside the tent, visitors can search for hidden fairy homes and gathering spots, learn fairy lore, and even dress in wings for photos.

Enjoy a fanciful spring setting, linger in the relaxing butterfly display, and search for evidence of the Fair Folk.

Forget the dew drops: Fairy Emmalina likes frogs and mud!

Emmalina the wingless fairy would rather frolick in
the mud with frogs than properly sip dewdrops. Via MLive.

One-hundred-year-old fairy Emmalina would rather play in the swamp with frogs than engage in traditional fairy activities, having decided that "fairy life is not all that it's cracked up to be." However, Emmalina cannot earn her wings unless she becomes "good at something important."

"After failing at opening flowers or stringing dewdrops on spider webs," reports Muskegon Live, "Emmalina returned to her frog friends and eventually becomes Emmalina the Mud Fairy, Protector of Frogs."

Veteran author and illustrator Amy Young gathered inspiration for her story from the natural surroundings of her studio, which lies on a river tributary. "Usually, stories are character-driven," Young said. "But this is very locally inspired from my surroundings and a pixie from Grand Haven."

For the feisty fairy herself, however, Young drew on her experiences mentoring a young tomboy through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. (Fairy Line's own motto is Just Do Good! and we applaud Young's volunteerism.) Young recalls, "[Zoey] would say: 'Let's go do something. Let's run around. Let's jump off this rock.' She looked like this dainty little girl but was so full of energy and action."

Despite its recent release, The Mud Fairy has already received acclaim from Publishers Weekly and Junior Library Guild.

Fairy Solutions: fairies offer practical fixes to every day problems

This is an introduction to our new series, Fairy Solutions, which will describe in detail how a selected Fairy Line product can improve your life.

"Children love fairies. So do parents," observes Tom McMahon of The Province, "We use these imaginary little creatures to help us in various aspects of parenting, usually to bear gifts and rewards for our children."

"A few decades ago, most children knew only of Tinkerbell and the Tooth Fairy," he continues. "Today, parents employ many different fairies — potty fairies, travel fairies and binkie fairies, to mention just a few. They can be heard buzzing around the homes of young children, assisting parents with some of the more challenging tasks of parenting."

McMahon then lists several anecdotes provided by parents and how they use fairies to enhance child-rearing, but he leaves one notable example off of the list: Fairy Line!

Our products are about much more than just fairies, and our fairies are no ordinary fairies. From its very inception, Fairy Line Naturals focused on helping children — and adults — deal with the stresses of everyday life. In fact, the company started when therapist Dr. LindaJoy Rose

"During one bleak period in her life, she volunteered at a preschool," The St. Petersburg Time reported, "She became fascinated with children's night fears and traumas. 'I thought — What if I could get into their psyches in a very whimsical way?' Dr. LindaJoy Rose recalls."

"So she mixed lavender, tangerine, and jasmine essence with flour, added a little mica to make it sparkle. She poured it onto a feathered wand and sprinkled it over the children and their bedding."

The success of Fairy Dust for Magical Dreams saw Fairy Line's quick expansion, now boasting 150 products — each based on scientific and psychological principles.

Dr. Rose specially created the twenty-four Fairy Line fairies using the potent psychological technique of archetypes, or symbols universally recognized, as a way of quickly accessing the psyche to instill positive thoughts.

On top of that, our all-natural Fairy Feel Good and Fairy Dust products utilizes the distinct manifold powers of aromatherapy, the benefits of which range from elevating mood to inducing sleep.

So, when it comes to motivating children, nothing compares to Fairy Line Naturals — just listen to these testimonials.

"I want to tell you that the Fairy Dust and Anti-Monster Spray have just been so wonderful! My daughter is finally adapting to her new home and is free of anxiety," fairy fan Stephanie D. writes, "I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart."

"Our nightly [fairy] dusting has become a wonderful ritual for family," fairy fan Carolyn S. details, "My girls insist that they sleep better than ever! We also love the sparkle of the mica — it looks like crushed precious pearls!"

"My little girls love these so much! They are much more cooperative now that I can offer them a fairy tattoo as a reward!" Tammy B. reports.

We have so many therapeutic products, with practically unlimited uses, that it would take a book to write about them all!. So, we starting this week, we will begin a weekly series called Fairy Solutions. Each article will focus on one specially selected Fairy Line product, its specific uses, and how they apply to your life.

Fairy Therapy™ - Easter Eggs

In video games, hidden unlockables — like new powers — are known as easter eggs. Truth be known, we all have our own hidden easter eggs, but in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we can quickly forget about these talents.

Think about what a few of your favorite skills are, no matter how trivial they seem, and focus on how happy they make you and others. For example, my father was good at hacky-sack, and while his ability to kick a bean ball back and forth never earned him any jobs, it provided endless amusement for my siblings and I growing up.

Write a compliment about yourself and put it in an Easter egg in your desk, or somewhere else out of sight — before long, you'll probably forget about it altogether. However, every now and then, you'll stumble across the egg, and its warm words within will remind you to love yourself.
